<Role & Responsibility>

Description

The Technical Marketing Engineer has the overall “new product” ownership (inclusive of business case) and maintenance of the business of the Auto Power module, as product life time manager, this mean, has the ownership from concept to development and ramp up and end of life of the product.

 Main applications are all available automotive power modules products for Mild Hybrid, Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.  All Automotive applications excluding HV Auto traction inverters applications.

Examples are, Electrical Power steerings, Battery management, 48V Belt starter generator, HV On Board charger, DC DC converter, HV auxiliaries such as HVAC E compressor, etc.

 

Responsibilities

 

As a Technical Marketing Engineer, your responsibilities are, in general, analyze the market and customers, define the product, pricing for new product, carry out the project (with team), and maintain business growth.

 

•Investigate applications and module product trends, analyze market needs and trends and then transfer into new  products/solutions (New products conception and definition )

•Regularly visit customers and follow up all inquiries (new product proposals/requirements).  Collect end customer’s feedback for internal new concept solutions design and ideas.

•Pull together concept designs and target specs with inputs from customers, system, application and development engineering for both electrical and packaging areas, then present them to customers.

•Be the owner of biz case, investment justification, targeted milestsones to development team and priorities.

•Maintain high customer satisfaction during development and mass production and Guide annual price negotiations to sales and Pricing team.

•Sales and FAE training including material (presentation, application notes and boards (through application team‘s support) and sales guide

•Periodic review of sales pipeline with sales of each reason, challenge sales of validity of the opportunities. Maintain filter/funnel.

•Primary technical interface between internal development team and sales & field application, and customers for new product development.

•With the support of a project manager, coordinate and monitor project activities with Application and System Engineering, Product Engineering, Package Development and Silicon Technology groups, Quality and manufacturing teams (Wafer Fab and Assembly).

•Travel to support customers worldwide and support the needs of a global team.

 

<Qualification & Requirement>

 

•7+ years work experience in the semiconductor industry – preferably related to product for the automotive industry.

•Highly technical with the knowledge of power semiconductors and semiconductor power module or other advance packaging for inverters and motor control applications, power conversions, etc., ideally for automotive applications.

•Good analytical skills

•Self-starter, proactive, high energy, results and goal driven.

•Leadership skills (Leading teams, problem solving, communication and negotiation, strategic thinking, system thinking, focused drive, good interpersonal skills- EQ).

•Ability to formulate business cases and understanding of commercial background.

•Ability to tactfully deal with multiple business and cultures around the world.

•Good presentation skills.

•Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.

Education

•BS or MS degree in Engineering.  Electronic Engineering is preferred.

•MBA degree, also, can provide the preferrence.
